Next Game is Finals

Next week is the second week of the finals and  the Under 12 Reserves will be playing against Ballarat in the First Semi Final on Sunday at Darley Park, so get along and support them if you can.  Go Devils.. 

Don’t forget Presentation Night this Friday, 27th August, 2010 at 6.30pm at the Clubrooms.

Code Code of Conduct

The State Government have recently introduced the Victorian Code of Conduct for Community Sport.  This code applies to community sport, training and club sanctioned activities.

The Code of Conduct is as follows:

Ø  Inclusion of every person regardless of their age, gender, or sexual orientation.

Ø  Inclusion of every person regardless of their race, culture or religion.

Ø  Opportunities for people of all abilities to participate in the sport and develop to their full potential.

Ø  Respect is shown towards others, the club and the broader community.

Ø  A safe and inclusive environment for all.

Ø  Elimination of violent and abusive behaviour.

Ø  Protection from sexual harassment or intimidation.

Breaches of the Code

The following behaviours are considered breaches of the Code.

Ø  Violent or abusive behaviour towards another person.

Ø  Vilification of any kind towards another person.

Ø  Discrimination against another person based on their age, gender, or sexual orientation.

Ø  Discrimination against another person based on their race, culture, religion or any other irrelevant personal characteristic. 

Ø  Sexual harassment or intimidation of another person.

Ø  Victimisation of another person for exercising their rights through the Code of Conduct.

Ø  Failure to maintain a safe environment.

Darley Junior Football Club belongs to the Ballarat Football League and enters a number of teams each year. The club could not function without the support of a dedicated group of parents and assistance from local business owners in Darley and Bacchus Marsh.

The Ballarat Football League (BFL) is a semi-professional Australian rules football league running junior competitions from Under 10 to Under 16.5 age groups in addition to a senior competition.
